Apart from the main temple ISKCON Rajahmundry has another
main feature: THE VEDIC EXHIBITION. Situated in the basement
of the temple it contains more than 50 dioramas exhibiting
the pastimes of Lord Sri Krishna, Lord Rama and Sri Chaitanya
maha prabhu ……
1) BUTTER THIEVES:
Lord Krishna and Balarama in their childhood did many past
times to give transcendental bliss to the residents of Vrindavan.
Sometimes they steal butter, yoghurt and milk from neighboring
houses and distribute them to the monkeys.
2) DELIVERANCE OF NALAKUVERA AND MANIGRIVA:
Once when little Krishna was caught red handed stealing
butter mother Yashoda tied him to a wooden mortar . After
mother Yashoda left, little Krishna dragged the mortar and
went outside while doing so the mortar was struck between
two huge Yamalarjuna trees .Little Krishna doesn't want to
stop and pull the mortar hard there by bringing down the two
Huge trees .Then from the two broken trees came two heavenly
persons .There are the two sons of Kuvera by names Nalakuvera
and Manigriva.They are cursed by sage Narada for their sinful
behavior to be born as Trees .But it is their great fortune
that they are delivered by the supreme Lord Krishna.
3) DELIVERANCE OF BAKASURA:
Once Krishna and Balarama were playing with cowherd boys
near the banks of the river Yamuna. Suddenly they saw a Giant
crane .Kamsa sent this demon, by name Baka in the form of
crane to kill Krishna .As soon as Krishna went near the crane,
he swallowed Him up .Krishna by becoming a fireball burnt
the throat of the crane from inside. Bakasura therefore spit
Him.
Krishna caught hold of the beaks of Bakasura and tear into
two halves, Just like splitting a blade of Grass. Bakasura
was thus killed by Krishna.
4) DELIVERANCE OF DHENUKASURA:
Talavana was big forest full of Palm Trees. Once Krishna
and Balarama along with their friends entered this Forest
to taste the ripe palmayara nuts. The forest was guarded by
Dhenukasura. He was a demon in the form of a Donkey .Balarama
forcefully shook some Palmayara trees and the fruits felled
down. Hearing some, Dhenukasura appeared there with his relative
donkey demons and kicked Balarama and Krishna with their legs
. Balarama and Krishna both playfully caught the hind legs
of the Donkeys and dashed against the palmayara trees and
disposed them all.
5) LORD KRISHNA THE CHARIOT DRIVER OF ARJUNA :
When Dhuryodhana and Arjuna approached Lord sri Krishna
for assistance in upcoming war, Lord Krishna asked to select
10,000 Narayana army or himself with a condition that he will
not fight. In spite of the condition Arjuna selected the supreme
Lord because he has complete faith in the lord. Because of
Arjuna's pure devotion Lord Krishna accepted the most Humble
Service of Arjuna's Charioteer .
6) DELIVERANCE OF AGHASURA :
Aghasura was a dangerous demon sent by Kamsa kills Krishna
and his friends. Aghasura with his siddhi assumed the shape
of a very huge serpent and attached his mouth wide open like
a mountain cave .While playing , all the cowherd boys, cows
and calves entered the mouth of this demon serpent. At last
Krishna also entered into this cave like mouth of the demon.
Aghsura tried to smash Krishna and kill Him. But Krishna expanded
himself within the throat of the Demon .He was suffocated
and fell down dead then Krishna and all the friends came out
of the mouth of Aghasura .
7) KRISHNA BALARAMA AT SANDIPANI MUNI ASHRAM :
Krishna along with his brother Balarama went to gurukula
at Sandipani muni ashram .Even thought Krishna is the supreme
Personality of God head he is the knower of Vedas , He is
the ultimate truth known at the end of Vedas or Vedanta ,he
served as a humble disciple to his guru and learned all the
Vedas .
8) KRISHNA ,BALARAM AS COWHERD BOYS IN SRI VRINDAVAN:
Krishna ,Balarama are very much loved by all the residents
of Vrindavan .When Krishna, Balarama along with other cowherd
boys go with cows to the forest of Vrindavan ,all the Women
of Vrindavan stop their works and standing at their door steps
watch Krishna .Their love for Krishna ,Balarama along with
other cowherd boys go with the cows to the forest of Vrindavan

love for Krishna is so deep that their hearts move along with
Krishna and they stay there all day along until Krishna returns
from the Forest .
9) KRISHNA KILLING KAMSA:
Kamsa was always planning and sending Demons to Gokula to
kill Krishna .As final plan Kamsa invited Krishna and Balarama
to attend a Festival at Mathura .There Kamsa invited them
to fight with the strongest of his wrestlers Krishna and Balarama
easily defeated them .Krishna knew time has come to put an
end to Kamas's evil deeds, So Krishna attacked Kamsa by jumping
over his Guards Kamsa was prepared for the attack Krishna
dragged Kamsa from his throne to the wrestling dais and threw
him down .He straddled his chest and simply by the stroke
of His Fist, Krishna killed Kamsa.
10) LORD KRISHNA SHOWING UNIVERSAL FORM TO ARJUNA:
On the battle field of Kurukshetra, When Arjuna saw that
he has to fight and kill his own kinsmen he declared to Krishna
that he will not fight, When Krishna spoke the Bhagavad Gita,
The song of God .In the conversation of the Gita Arjuna requested
the Lord to Show him the Universal form Then Krishna displayed
the universal form to Arjuna.
11) KRISHNA DANCING ON THE HOODS OF KALIYA :
The waters of river Yamuna was poisoned by the poisonous
breath of Snake Kaliya .Krishna climbed up the Kadmba Tree
nearby and jumped in the poisonous snake .Kaliya emerged with
anger and twined his tail around Krishna but Krishna freed
himself from the snake's grip and placed his feet on the raised
hoods of the snake .Krishna danced and trampled over all the
hundred hoods .The wives of Kaliya prayed to Krishna to save
their Husband .Krishna ordered Kaliya to vacate the river
Yamuna.
12) KRISHNA PREPARING TO KILL BHISHMA:
Once during the Mahabharat war Bhishma severely wounded
Arjuna with his powerful arrows .Seeing his pure devotee in
that situation Krishna became enraged .He got off the chariot
took a wheel lying on the battle field and charged on Bhishma
intending to kill him. Bhishma who is also a devotee of Krishna
was happy to this as death in the hands of supreme lord gives
one liberation .But before Krishna could reach Bhishma, he
was stopped by Arjuna .Arjuna did this only because he doesn't
want Krishna to break his word that he will not fight on the
battle of Kurukshetra and face disgrace for Arjuna's sake.
13) ADVENT OF LORD KRISHNA:
Krishna the supreme personality of god head has no beginning
nor end that is he never takes Birth .But to fulfill desires
of his pure Devotees, Krishna took birth in the Womb of Devaki
where she was imprisoned with her husband Vasudeva .By the
mystic power of lord all the guards went to sleep and doors
were opened .Vasudeva carried Krishna from Mathura to Gokula
to the place where Yashoda and Nandamaharaja Lived.
14) KRISHNA THE RESERVOIR OF PLEASURE:
Krishna is the reservoir of pleasure .Another name for Krishna
is Govinda which means he who gives pleasure to the senses.
15) RADHA KRISHNA AND THE EIGHT PRINICPAL GOPIS :
Radha Krishna are the divine couple. And the names of the
eight principle gopis are Lalitha, Visakha, Indulekha, Champakalatha,
Tungavidya, Rangadevi, Suchitra and Sudevi.
These eight gopis are always assisting Srimathi Radha Rani
in serving Sri Krishna.
16) JULAN YATRA :
Julan yatra is one of the conjugal pastimes of Radha Krishna.
Radha Krishna enjoys the divine swing on the full moon night
enjoying the cool breeze of the Vrindavan forest.
17) LORD NARASHIMA:
Lord Narashima appeared to prove the words of his pure devotee
prahlada.When prahlada was asked by the great rakshasa Hiranyakasipa
that whether his Lord Harii resides in the pillar.Prahlada
with unflinching faith tells"Hari is everywhere ,what
to speak about the pillar",Hiranyakasipu strikes the
pillar,suddenly with a tremendous sound Lord Hari appears
in the form of narasimha and kills Hiranyakasipu.
18) NANDA YASHODA WELCOMING LORD KRISHNA:
Nanda and Yashoda are always immensed in the meditation
of Krishna's childhood pastimes Nanda &Yashoda are always
waiting to see Krishna returning from the Vrindavan Forest.
The return of Krishna is the most happening sight for Nanda
& Yashoda.
19) RESCUE OF GAJENDRA THE KING OF ELEPHANTS:
Once the Great elephant King Gajendra was caught by a powerful
crocodile. Gajendra fought for many days but in vain .Finally
when all the energy was lost he surrendered to the lord offered
a Flower and prayed for mercy.The supreme Lord Hari hearing
his prayers immediately left Vaikunta and came to save Gajendra
.The lord cut the head of the crocodile with his sharp Sudarshan
Chakra and saved Gajendra . Lord Hari freed both Gajendra
and Crocidile from this curse.
20) LORD SHIVA DRINKS POISON :
In the effort of attaining the Nectarine Juice of immortality
i.e. Amurtha ,Halahala,the most powerful poison came from the milk
ocean. This Poison created great disturbance to both Demons and
the Demigods. Lord Shiva is always Benevolent toward all living
entities .when he saw that the living entities .When he saw that
the living entities very much disturbed by the poison, which was
spreading everywhere, he was very compassionate and drank all the
poison .

21) THE RESCUE OF AJAMILA:
Ajamila was born in a Brahmin family , but due to bad association
he lead a sinful life .At the time of death he was in Great Pain
and wanted to see his last son Narayana for the last time.So he
called his name with great Intensity.At that time the Yamadutas
came there to Drag his Sole to Hell.But surprisingly they were stopped
by Vishnudutas, he was saved from the Greatest Fear and was given
a Second chance.
