RAJAHMUNDRY TEMPLE AND ARATHI TIMINGS
The
temple is opened at 4:30 am starting with Mangala arathi, the first
arathi of the day. Mangala arathi is very auspicious . Many devotees
attend this arathi. Srila Prabhupada insists that all devotees should
attend Mangala arathi. After Mangala arathi the darshan is closed
and there is Tulasi arathi.
Worshipping Tulasi maharani is very important to devotees because
by worshipping Tulasi one becomes pure and gets an opportunity to
serve the lordships of Sri Sri Radha Krishna. Tulasi arathi is followed
by japa meditation i.e. followed by japa meditation i.e. from 5:30
am to 7:30 am. All devotees chant the holy name "Hare Krishna
Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama
Rama Hare Hare".
At 7:30 am the darshan is opened and there is sringar or darshan
arathi. The deities are decorated in fresh clothes, adorned with
beautiful garlands and jewellery. After darshan arathi, there will
be Srila Prabhupada arathi followed by Srimad Bhagavatam class from
8:00 am to 9:00 am. The darshan is opened until 1:00pm and is closed
after raja bhoga arathi. The temple and the darshan are reopened
at 4:30 pm with arathi.
At 6:30 pm there is Tulasi arathi followed by Sandhya (Gourva)
arathi. After Sandhya arathi there is Bhagavad Gita class from 7:
30 pm to 8:30 pm. Soon after the class there is unjal seva(julan
yatra) to the lordships Sri Sri Radha Gopinath. The temple is closed
after unjal seva i.e. at 8:45pm. On very special occasions such
as sri Krishna janmasthmi etc the temple is opened all over the
day.
Apart from this the deity of mother Godavari is offered pooja two
times daily i.e. at 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
