Introduction to Sevas in detail

In ISKCON Rajahmundry we have four big altars and Dasavatara mantaps

• 1ST Altar -Sri Sri Krishna Caitanya Prabhu Nityananda and utsav murthies.
• 2nd Altar - Sri Sri Radha Gopinath and utsav murthies.
• 3rd Altar- Sri Sri Jagannath Baladev Subhadra and utsav murthies.besides to Lord Narasimhadev.
• 4th Altar- Sri Sri Govinda Srinivas and utsav murthies. of Lord Balaji, Bhudevi and Sridevi.

The deities of Garuda and Hanuman are guarding the altars on either sides. The main entrance is guarded by the deities of Jaya and Vijaya.

The Murthy of the founder acharya Swami Srila Prabhupada sits on an asana before the altars.

The main temple hall is surrounded by ten mantaps with the deities of the ten incarnations of the Lord (Dasavatara).

Daily all these deities and utsav murthies. are decorated with beautiful flower garlands especially Govinda Srinivasa is decorated with a very big size Gaja mala.

In addition to above the flowers are also required for offering to the presiding deities during all arathi's i.e Mangala arathi, darshan arathi, guru puja, Raja bhoga arathi,4.30pm offering, Sandhya arathi, and arathi of unjal seva.

On festival occasions such as Goura poornima, ugadi, Sri Rama navami, Narasimha jayanthi, Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Sri Radhaastami, Goverdhana pooja, Damodara Month(Kartheeka masa) Geetha Jayanthi, Vaikunta Ekadasi, Sankranthi, etc., the temple hall and all the altars are specially decorated to exhibit festive atmosphere and to please the lord. On the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Brahmotsava festival is conducted for ten days starting from Balarama poornima to the appearance day of Srila Prabhupada (vyasa pooja). During these ten days the whole temple is decorated with a variety of flowers from inside and outside the temple, especially on Janmastami day there is a unique decoration. During these special festivals the deities are also adorned with new dresses (vastras ) and jewelery.
